A 16th-century riad of 6 king suites in Mouassine, the Medina's most coveted quarter: courtyard fountain, private hammam, rooftop dining with Atlas views.

Riad Dar Saeed is a sixteenth-century residence of six king suites hidden on a quiet derb in Mouassine — the Medina's most coveted quarter, home to its finest galleries, fondouks and concept stores. Hand-picked by The Marrakech Curator, the riad has been restored as a palace of tranquillity: hand-carved cedar ceilings, tadelakt walls and antique Berber textiles arranged around an inner courtyard where orange trees shade a marble fountain. A rooftop terrace with views towards the Atlas crowns the house.
Mouassine is the connoisseur's corner of the Medina: minutes from the souks, the Mouassine fountain, Le Jardin Secret and the city's best concept stores, yet wrapped in residential calm. Behind the riad's studded door, the courtyard unfolds in black-and-white zellige around its fountain, with salons opening on every side and the light shifting through orange trees from morning to candlelit evening. Upstairs, the rooftop terrace serves breakfast and dinner with the Koutoubia and the Atlas on the horizon.
Each of the six suites is an individual composition with a king bed dressed in hand-finished Egyptian cotton. The Onyx Suite rises under five-metre carved ceilings with a black-marble rainfall shower; the Berber Terrace Suite pairs a handmade Berber ceiling and fireplace with its own private terrace; the Emerald Suite features a jade-green marble bath and a balcony over the pool; the Indigo Suite adds a private balcony, Carrara marble shower and wood-burning fireplace; the Sienna Suite centres on a four-poster king bed and dome fireplace; and the Ivory Suite, the most spacious, completes the house with its own sitting room and ivory marble bath.
The riad's chef prepares Moroccan cuisine from seasonal market ingredients — breakfast of fresh bread, mint tea and seasonal fruit, and dinners served on the rooftop or beside the courtyard fountain. The private hammam offers traditional rituals with black soap, argan oil and botanicals, followed by massages and treatments in the riad's own spa.
